Meet your Dog Trainer / Human Educator

Glenn Vargas is a Texan through and through. He was born and raised through grade school in Dallas, Texas until he ventured to Austin, where he really grew up over the 12 years which would follow. A diehard Longhorn, Glenn graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Kinesiology. Glenn has worn a lot of different hats in his professional career. Upon graduation from UT, Glenn served as a middle school teacher, where he honed his skills to effectively communicate and teach adolescents. After three years in the public school setting, Glenn became a police officer with the Austin Police Department. This was an incredibly rewarding career for Glenn and where he was truly able to refine his ability to communicate and problem solve. Glenn has always wanted to help people and make a difference. In 2022, Glenn followed a girl and made the move to the Texoma area, where he eventually married his wife and began to search for a way to continue serving his community. Dogs have always been near and dear to his heart. Glenn’s first exposure to dog training occurred when he adopted Shyla (the Elementum Logo herself). Glenn’s eyes were opened to a whole new world. Since that experience three years ago, Glenn has obsessed with learning ALL THINGS DOGS by reading countless books, attending seminars of Larry Krohn, working for a training facility, and shadowing one of the best dog trainers in Austin. The diversity of Glenn’s life experiences are what make him the best option for you! It’s the human holding the leash that has much to learn about training their dog. The dog is the easy part!
